A Church gathering can be as simple as meeting around a table…
When Olga and I (Jacob) spoke to our kids about church, we began growing uncomfortable with the discrepancy between the church we were experiencing and the Church we were teaching them through the Bible.
Scripture tells us that the Church is the gathering of believers, but church culture seemed to prioritize budgets and buildings. It seemed to prioritize the Spirit in a few over the whole of the body. Worship was best performed by professionals and was not taught as a whole life posture.
Our Story
We started the Table Church Collective as a small church movement that recenters the gathering of believers on a few key objectives:
Devoted Worship
Authentic and Intimate Relationships
Encouraging and Growing Believers
Focused Mission Into the World
To meet in homes and other spaces that do not look like the traditional church space, we intend to take seriously the belief that the Spirit moves and makes sacred every place God’s people gather.
The Table Church Collective gathers people around open tables for participatory, Spirit-led, authentic worship that forms living disciples who embody the Gospel in everyday life and multiply missionally—prioritizing people over buildings, presence over performance, and the whole body over professionals.
